Wow! I've been keeping up with my posting (pats self on back). Just a quick one today to tell about what we did last night. They had a "National Night Out" in my neighborhood last night at the playground. I saw it all going on from my kitchen window but wanted to wait for Chris to get home to go over since...well...I'm socially awkward. When he got home, we walked over and they had so many neat things for the kids to do! The Chik Fil A cow was there, the Texas Roadhouse armadillo, the Rita's Ice Guy and later on the LaPlata Fire Department showed up and had their fire dog with them...it was mascots running everywhere! Peyton quickly jumped in to a water balloon fight with the other kids, he had a blast! The Charles County Search and Rescue were there with one of their rescue boats so he got to climb in that and play also. They had so many freebies to give to the kids. Jackson enjoyed people watching (he's sooo much like his Mommy) and someone gave him a "glow necklace". They had food but we had already eaten dinner...darn me! I shouldn't have let my social awkwardness get in the way...I wouldn't have had to cook! All in all, the boys enjoyed themselves and it was fun to see them having fun!
