Clock is ticking

Peyton, 2 years old
Well, it's less than a week until Peyton is officially headed to school. There are so many mixed emotions going through me. I'm proud of him for how ready he is for school. I'm proud of myself for getting to this point without jumping off a building :). But also, I'm a little sad. I've heard other mothers say in the past how fast time flies by when you have children but never in a million years did I realize it would go this quickly. I remember every second of the day he was born and now he's headed off to school. I know what an amazing job he will do. We've gone down the checklist. He's worked on his rhyming (which he had a little trouble with), he knows all his upper and lowercase letters, we've reviewed where his bus stop is and showed him the different landmarks around to look for (in order to avoid an incorrect bus stop departure), he has his supplies and bookbag. He's all set. But it's times like this that I just want to hit the "pause" or "rewind" buttons and go back to when he was just little Bubba so I can enjoy the younger years all over again. I know, I know, I'm not sending him off to war..just kindergarten. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to miss him to pieces!
