I am beyond thrilled to announce that I am finally an Aunt! My baby sister gave birth to Bryalen Earl Sage at 11:48 am Saturday morning November 19, 2011. He came in at a fighting 7 lbs 3.3oz and was 21 inches long!
I am so very proud of my baby sister. For those of you who know the story, I know you're as proud of her as I am. For those who don't, I'll just say she is a trooper and a half and she's stronger than I've ever given her credit for.
I'm not going to post pictures now as April wants to be the first to share pictures of her precious little one when she's home and settled in. Just know he's a heartbreaker.
I would like to say that I have amazing friends who have cheered April on every step of the way! Ashleigh, Amanda, Jenni...you girls are my rocks. The fact that you love her so much that you've gone so far out of your ways to constantly check on her (and me!) and were on as much pins and needles as I have been through this process is a testament to how VERY blessed I am.
Instead of CCD yesterday, I took Peyton on a very special field trip to visit his new cousin to show him FIRST HAND the glory of God's work. If there is ever a question in a person's heart as to God's beautiful existence, all you have to do is look at a newborn baby and your question should be answered absolutely.
Our family has been blessed so many times and this weekend was another HUGE blessing. I can't believe how full of love I am for such a little person! I can't wait to enjoy "Auntie" time with Braylen...as often as possible.
