Totally Two!!!

Today is a HUGE day for the Romine family...we've survived two years!! Jackson is officially a member of the terrible two's. Daddy had him call me this morning and I told him "It's your birthday!" his response? "Aw, WHYYYYYYY?" He'll get it later when presents are poured on him and he gets to devour more birthday cake!
Two years ago today, this little one came roaring in to my world and made sure life would never be the same. He's enriched our lives with hilarity, intelligence, adorableness, chaos and love. Jackson is one of a kind. He's too smart for his own good, more curious than George, more interested in life than any other two year old I've ever met and funnier than Russell Brand. The facial expressions he makes alone will send you in to fits of side splitting laughter. He has about 150 different facial expressions and every day makes a new one. I told my best friend the other day that I wished I could just follow him around with a camera all day to catch all those hilarious "looks" he gives us on film forever.
Jackson is speaking in sentences these days of at least 4-5 words. He questions EVERYTHING you say and doesn't accept anything at face value. He's counting to ten, working on his ABCs and sings up a storm! He impresses everyone who comes across his path and daily someone is telling me that they can't believe he's only two! He runs with the big kids and gives his big brother a run for his money. In all honesty, he gives us ALL a run for our money! You can't turn your back on him for even a split second or naughtiness will prevail. It's not his fault he's always getting himself in to trouble but like they say "curiosity killed the cat". He's quite the little "tattle tale" and if he's in trouble, will not hesitate to blame it on Reese (his friend from daycare). Problem is, Reese is at home with her family and he has to think fast to amend his previous fib and then blame it on Bubba. He's quite the fast thinker.

I could go on for days about how this child made my life better. But I will close with this, I hope one day Jackson reads these posts and realizes how much of a blessing he truly is. He was wanted before he was even there, he was dreamed of. This child made my dreams come true and even if he's a handful, I would trade this handful for anything in this world. I'm a better person because he's in my life. He's taught me patience that I never thought I would have. Truth is, Jackson is so much like me it's scary. Things I hear of myself when I was his age, the two are identical. We think the same, we are both naughty as all get out. We may butt heads through the years but he makes my life more interesting. I adore this child and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next!!!
