Six Year Old!!!

Thursday was Peyton's 6th birthday. I can't believe my baby is already school-aged and becoming a little man! I'm so proud of him for everything he's accomplished and what a kind, gentle, loving little boy he is. Muffins with Mom was on Thursday morning but with the two-hour delay, it was postponed :( Bubba and I made the best of our extra two hours together (I took the day off for his birthday) and we went out to breakfast at Chik-fil-A! Bubba got to spend about an hour and a half before school playing in their jungle gym. Grandma and April came by and shared breakfast with us which was a great treat for Peyton! After we finished, I took him (and the cupcakes I made for his class) to school and then headed home to transform the house in to a birthday surprise.

He was so excited to see what I had done. One of the many beautiful things about Peyton is how GRATEFUL he is when you do something nice for him. I've never seen someone with such a zest for life and excitement about everything around him. Even his teachers have remarked to me about how much fun it is to have him in their class because how excited he gets over the most mundane things. The greater the task, the more excited he gets. Mom, April and Amanda came over and we partied down for his birthday. When Daddy got home, we had cake and ice cream. Jackson really enjoyed his.

It was a great birthday for an amazing little boy who makes my life better just by being there.

So much more going on but don't have the time for a long blog today. 'Till next time!!!
