Today is Chris's 30th birthday. I remember when we first got together and 30 seemed so far away. We never thought one of us would reach it...or how quickly it would come. But alas, today is the day! He's taking it all in stride, only grumbled a few times at the numerous old man jokes that I can't hold back.
Today, we grab the early bird special at Old Country Buffett, sign him up for AARP, go to the Clark Senior Center to see if he can enroll in a shuffle board competition and make sure we get him a colonoscopy. Chris, I vow to check you nightly for gray hairs, help you cross the street, take you to all your many doctor's appointments and listen while you complain about "kids these days". All these I do for you, because you're my best friend and we're supposed to grow old together. You just got there a lot faster. Love, your wife (still sittin' pretty at 26!)
