Peyton Projects!

Last night, Peyton put together an entire 25 piece puzzle with zero help from anyone...and he did it fast! I was so proud of his determination and now I plan on buying every puzzle known to man just to watch him do his thing. It's times like this that remind me just how fast he's growing up.

Ms. Christine (or Grandma as the boys call her) gave him the puzzle at the end of "Dinosaur Week" last week. Each week, Christine does a new theme of what the children are learning about. Peyton did so many neat projects but my favorite I'm putting a picture of below cause I thought it was so creative!

This is his brontasauras. They made them out of toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls and tissue boxes. I got to see it as it progressed as it was a 2 day project. The first day they assembled their dinosaurs and paper mache'd them. The next they got to paint them however they wanted. Peyton was very adamant that his dinosaur was to only be blue (which surprised me because usually this kid is all about the red).

Christine has been a God-send. She has taken care of Peyton since he was six weeks old and Jackson since he was 8 weeks old. My children see her as a Grandma and that is such a blessing to me. She takes care of them in such a loving manner. Not a day goes by when we are leaving her house in the afternoon that she doesn't hug them, kiss them and tell them how much she loves them. Christine had 7 children of her own, many of her grandchildren come to daycare and all the parents adore her as well...it's impossible not to. I'm beyond grateful for her help in raising my boys...I wouldn't be able to work without knowing my kids were in a safe, happy, loving environment...plus, she teaches them so much! Her curriculum goes along w/ the Charles County Board of Education's for preschool so I know Peyton and eventually Jackson will be ready for Kindergarten! I love her and am beyond blessed to have her in my life.
