Even though I blogged last week, it was just brought to my attention (HI JENNI!) that I am slacking on the blog. So this one goes out to you my fine preggo friend (who is due with the latest mini-blogger The Professor in December! Can't wait!) Let's see.
This weekend, we went to the LaPlata Town Hall's Chili cook off to cheer on Team Tootie. Amanda, her sister, grandmother and sister-in-law made her mother's top secret chili recipe. It was very good and I'm not even a chili fan. Unfortunately they didn't win but they made an awesome showing in honor of their mother who we lost in March of this year.
Afterward, we took the boys to Applebees for lunch where Jackson ate one of his favorites...LEMONS! I was the same way as a child, I would eat lemons rind and all. He did not disappoint and his facial expressions were perfect.
April came over on Sunday and she and I tore up some crabs! It was a great weekend and I can't wait for this one coming up. Chris and I are going to be "teenagers" again for one day only! We're going to the HFStival at Merriweather on Saturday to see our all-time favorite...BILLY IDOL!!!!! Also there, Everclear, Fuel, Lit, Marcy Playground, dude from Live (wasn't even attempting to spell his last name...we'll call him Ed) and Jimmie's Chicken Shack. I'm so super excited to spend the day with my hubby feeling like kids again!
