Catching Up!

Authors Note: Just realized this is my 101st post! I should have had a celebration on my last blog (a month ago!) like TV Shows do when they reach their 100th episode. Oh well, I'm celebrating alone in my office right now. Take my word for it.

(This picture is to show just how sweaty poor Baby Jackson got!)
Pardon the messy face...

Wooo! I can't believe how long its been since I've updated but life has been hectic as all get out! Peyton started football a few weeks ago and life has been consumed with it since. My days have become super long but watching him out there playing makes it all worth it. He's definitely a natural and  it makes me proud to watch him. He's gotten quite a few new nicknames from this football experience...apparently my son is quite the tackler. A father the other night told me my child was the "Kamikaze"...I think he meant it as a compliment...

Peyton starts the 1st grade on August 29th! Can't believe how fast this summer flew by! Since I haven't been a good summer blogger, I'll quickly recap the events of the summer.

Swim Lessons went off without a hitch. Peyton started the summer as a kid who hated to get his head wet (even in the bath tub) and is ending it a regular fish. Showers used to be a threat to him but with the help of swimming lessons and the confidence he gained, he exclusively takes showers now....he's not a bath taking baby anymore :(  Jackson has always been my little fish. My sister and I would take Jackson swimming while Peyton had his lessons and a couple times since then and Jackson is just ready to take off! I think swim lessons are in Jackson's agenda for next summer because he has no fear of the water...and that terrifies me.

The boys went to see Monster Trucks with my father and brother in July. They had a blast! Peyton and Chris love to watch the Monster Trucks on TV and things and this is the 2nd time this year that they've gone to see a "Monster Jam" show. I think my father and brother really enjoyed it as well!

Peyton's first scrimmage was Saturday at Hallowing Point in Calvert County. He did a great job! Pictures below.

I found out I'm going to be an Aunt during one of the swimming lesson/swim sessions with my sister. I'm excited for this next chapter in my baby sister's life. I can't believe that I remember the very first time I laid eyes on her, the day my parents brought her home from the hospital. I walked in to my parents bedroom and there is my mother holding this little THING with a head full of dark hair! We had our battles growing up, mainly because I felt she robbed me of my rightful title of "baby" of the family. As I got older though, I realize what a gift I was given with April as a sister. I can't wait to see my baby sister flourish as a Mommy! Braylen is due November 17th...stand by for more pictures than you can handle at that point!
